These throws are heavenly. We’ve taken the comfort level up a notch and made these divine throws from eight layers of soft GOTS certified organic cotton. We intended to only have them in baby size but they look so good and feel so good we couldn’t resist one for ourselves. So now our older kids (and mostly ourselves,) can have one too. It really is the perfect addition to any bed, sofa or to wrap around yourself and your loved ones as you relax and unwind.

What size are you?
So bigger is sometimes just that little bit better especially when it comes to the Softie. We suggest the Small Softie for a pram or a bassinet or that special comforter you can't let go. The Medium Softie is for a cot or single bed or to throw over yourself when reading a book, watching tv or just chilling out. Then we have our Big Softie, which we love!! It's that little bit bigger and little bit more and even though we designed it with ourselves in mind - our kids (and we have a fair few) have stolen the Big Softie for themselves. It's great for little people and beds all the way to big.
Swaddles, Sheets, Towels, Comforter
All of these beautiful items are made from the softest organic GOTS cotton we could find, but to make them last as long as possible: wash separately, use a laundry bag, mild detergent, then cold gentle machine wash and cool tumble dry or air dry. If you're going to air dry feel free to roll them up to dry - it only makes the crinkly that much better.
The Softie
These gorgeous throws are super soft, we can’t say it enough, but they do need care and they do snag, so we’re giving you a heads up about it. It’s the nature of the fabric but we won’t even share ours with our kids (we had to buy them their own) so we suggest sticking them in a laundry bag and do a careful hand wash then fold them to dry them and let them crinkle away. We do stick ours straight into the washer and then the dryer in a laundry bag and they just get softer and crinklier but if you are worried – handwash, hand dry and use with caution! The brief: wash separately, use a laundry bag, mild detergent, then cold gentle machine wash and cool tumble dry or air dry and snuggle away.

I purchased this throw as a gift for my daughter who loves to snuggle under a cozy blanket. We live in Queensland so it’s fairly warm most of the year and this cotton throw is just perfect. It’s soft, cozy and provides just the right amount of warmth. She loves it. Colour is lovely too.

This is by far the most beautiful and comfortable thing I have purchased from my child. I matched it up with the wax flower cot sheets and immediately asked them if they will be doing an adult range. Love the crinkle after the wash. I was a bit concerned at first as it looked a bit flat. You MUST but this!
FAQ's
Gauze is a lightweight material often referred to as muslin. It is a loosely woven cotton fabric. We have chosen to use 100% certified GOTS organic cotton. Our gauze fabric has either 2, 4 or 8 thin layers of gauze and each layer is carefully attached to the one below with small threads. It is these threads that give us that beautful crinkle effect once they're washed and dried. It is a breathable textile but so warm when layered - so go ahead and use it all year long.

This is an easy one! Just throw them in the wash (don't forget to check washing instructions) and dry them. We suggest putting them straight into the wash as it helps the open weave to close and there's less chance of damage to the material. We suggest reading the postcard with washing instructions that we sent you.
It's meant to! That's the beauty of this fabric. It gets softer and crinklier with age and use - kind of like what we don't want as humans but definitely want with our gauze.
With use it actually just gets better. Please follow the Care Guide on our website or have a look at the postcard we sent you - it has the info there as well!
We would say don't. It's made from the highest grade of GOTS certified organic cotton. If you use bleach or any other synthetic cleaning agent it will affect the chemical free nature of the gauze fibres and may also strip away their softness.
Gauze is a loose, open weave, it can snag if it gets caught on something. Please note that Little Myrtle cannot be held responsible for snags or any other damage to your goods once they have been handled, laundered, or have otherwise entered into use. To protect your item from getting snagged during laundering, wash and dry without items that have zippers, hooks, or anything that could catch on the fibers. You might also put your gauze item in a mesh wash bag for washing and drying. Be sure that the wash bag is large enough so that that item isn't tightly bunched up. This allows water and detergent to flow through the fabric in the washing machine, and air to circulate in the dryer.
Lastly, we do not recommend throwing anything like a drying ball in the dryer with your gauze. These have the potential to strip your gauze of its softness and we wouldn't want that.
A needle and thread can fix the snag. Take a threaded needle then knot the thread to the loop of the snag. Use the attached needle and thread, pull the snag through the back of the fabric. This will hide it inside the layers of gauze. Once you pull the needle and thread through to the back of the fabric, snip the sewing thread short enough so that it’s hidden inside the fabric. I got my mum to help me with this. I also blamed her for not teaching me how to sew.
